One Step Smarter

Privacy Policy

Effective 9 October 2026

We respect the privacy of parents, guardians, learners, and visitors to our website. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our services.

Information we collect

When you contact or enrol with One Step Smarter (OSS), we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and information needed to select a programme for your child.

If you create an account, we may also process account credentials, learner profiles, selected courses, attendance, assignments, and communications needed to operate the learning platform. Payments are processed by Stripe; OSS keeps the billing and transaction records necessary to manage enrolments.

How we use information

We use this information to respond to enquiries, administer enrolment, arrange consultations, deliver classes, manage payments and subscriptions, provide learner support, and send relevant service messages.

Where permitted and subject to your choices, we may use contact information to follow up about an incomplete enrolment or share relevant OSS programme updates.

Cookies and website measurement

Our website uses necessary browser storage for functions such as sign-in and display preferences. With your permission, it can also use the Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager, which may manage Google Analytics and other measurement tags.

We also use Alish Group’s campaign attribution service to issue a pseudonymous visitor reference (oss_ref) and campaign source (oss_src). Its script loads across our site independently of your optional Google/Meta analytics choice. OSS stores these first-party cookies for up to 90 days and may refresh valid existing values from our server when you return. We associate the reference and source with an enquiry if you submit one, to help OSS and Alish Group match campaign results.

Alish Group receives attribution and enquiry-status references, not the contact details supplied in enrolment forms through our notifications. Our six custom Google and Meta conversion events omit the Alish visitor reference and campaign source; we do not deliberately send names, email addresses or phone numbers in those events. Please do not put personal details in tracking links. Browser privacy controls may shorten cookie retention.

Optional Google and Meta analytics remain disabled until you accept them. Rejecting those optional tags does not stop the separate Alish Group visit-attribution script described above. You can change Google and Meta cookie choices below; browser settings can also restrict or delete cookies.

Service providers and access

OSS uses service providers to operate the platform, including Alish Group for visitor and campaign attribution, Convex for application data, Stripe for billing, Mailjet for service emails, LiveKit for live classes, and (subject to consent) Google and Meta for optional website measurement. Those providers handle information relevant to their services under their own terms and privacy documentation.

Authorised OSS team members may access information when needed to deliver learning services, handle enquiries, or support your account. Marketing reporting should use enquiry references and status information rather than personal contact details.

Children's information

A parent or guardian provides and manages information required for a child's participation in OSS classes. We use learner information to provide educational services and administer the learner's account.

Retention and your choices

We retain information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including applicable accounting, security and legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the kind of information and the relevant requirement.

You can contact us to ask about the personal information we hold, request a correction or deletion where applicable, or ask us to stop optional marketing messages.

Cookie preferences

You can choose whether we use optional cookies to understand how our website is used.
